Christmas - a time filled with joy and thanks. You might think that because this is such a merry time of year I would take a month off from talking about the coming end of civilization. But you would be wrong. In this holiday issue we re-write the Dickens classic "A Christmas Carol" to be more suitable for the apocalypse and in "The 12 (End of) Days of Christmas" we walk you through the end of the world in 12 easy melodic steps. We also look at the various celebrations that happen on December 25th. From Jews to atheists, Christians to Muslims this issue is jammed pack with holiday traditions. This month, Fusion returns its focus to the economy. Looking to lessons of the past, we analyze the teachings and writings of Adam Smith author of The Wealth of Nations. We also take a serious look at a low-rate Flat Tax and explore how this tax policy could reenergize the economy. Finally, after reviewing how we could have prevented our debt and purpose methods to get us out of it, it is only natural to look back at our nation’s history with debt and try to figure out how the heck we got here.
